USC Already Decorating for Christmas, Puts Up 100ft Tall Christmas Tree
by Jack Hackett
USC–It’s the week after Halloween, and USC is taking no time off to prepare for the very next holiday, Christmas.
And nothing says getting into the holiday spirit more than erecting a 100ft tall Christmas tree in the middle of Trousdale Parkway.
“Isn’t it a little early for this?” asks David Weissman, “I mean, Thanksgiving isn’t even for three more weeks.”
Many other students are underwhelmed by the tree as well.
“I give an A for effort, but having to walk single file to get around it blows,” complains avid walker Sarah Connor.
To continue spreading the yuletide joy, USC will set up a nativity scene in McCarthy Quad recounting the story of the three wise men giving baby Jesus gold, frankincense, and myrrh in order to remind students the true meaning of Christmas: getting presents.
