Bubba Gump Manager Thinks Today’s the Day Tom Hanks Finally Shows Up
by Joey Rayburn
SANTA MONICA, CA – Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant manager Rickie Goad spent the early hours of Friday morning the same way he always does: staring longingly out of the front window of the restaurant, waiting with bated breath for Tom Hanks to finally show up. According to Goad, however, today finally seems like the day Thomas Jeffrey Hanks makes the long walk down the Santa Monica Pier and straight into Goad’s open arms.
“I just have a good feeling about today. I think the stars have at long last aligned and are leading Tom right to my front door,” Goad exclaimed.
Hanks has long avoided going near the restaurant for reasons unknown to Goad or anyone else. Many have speculated why Hanks refuses to acknowledge the establishment, and why he hates good food at reasonable prices.
Whatever the reason for Hanks’ absence, Goad is certain today is the day that Hanks puts aside those notions and finally “comes home.”
“I think Tom is finally ready to confront his past, so to speak, and let Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. into his heart where it has always belonged,” said Goad.
“I’m not going to pester him with questions as to where he’s been or what took him so long: I’m just going to be glad he’s here with us,” Goad explained. “I have the best booth all ready for him. All he has to do is show up.”
Only time will tell whether Goad’s prediction will come true. All that can be said for now is that there is a love at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., and it’s a love waiting for you, Tom.
